Did you know that Metta, also known as “lovingkindness,” is just one of four Buddhist practices of love?
These practices are collectively known as the Brahma Viharas and include Metta (unconditional friendliness), Karuna (Compassion), Mudita (Empathetic or Resonant Joy), and Upekkha (Equanimity).
In this course, we will explore each of the Brahma Viharas, putting them into practice and uncovering the insights that arise from each.
Each session will open with a period of meditation, followed by an opportunity to connect other students. There will be group discussions exploring what you notice in your practice, and Elaine will offer supportive materials and suggestions for deepening your meditation.
